Today's episode centers around one question, "Why Am I Here?" I believe it is a question we should ask more than just on the first day of every new year. If you don't you are not positioning yourself to do what you have been sent here to do. It should be the first question you ask every single morning.

The Gift of Hope: You Can Be a Star

In the beautiful nativity story, we find a piece of the puzzle. The three wise men searching for Jesus and led by a star to a place that's foreign to them, to a country who has a king that they're in search of. A country that does even know the king yet exists. See, these are three wise men who are steeped in wisdom, maybe sorcery and mysticism from a place from the east, the Persian empire.  When the wise men showed up, when they sought out Jesus, he was already born, perhaps two years old by the time they found him.
 
What I want to focus on today in this sermon is that they were looking for him. I think there are people in the world around us today who are looking for Jesus, people who have searched for answers in all the wrong places. Enjoy this sermon with us today.

The Gift of Hope: Joyful Peace

What if the hope that God will always be at the right place at the right time was limited? The hope that is supposed to help us endure and get through the struggles in our life, help us have purpose and passion with the things He's called us to do was limited by our reproach.
 
The definition of reproach is an occasion of shame, blame, or disgrace. Many times our hope is limited because it comes out of a broken situation. Our hope is tied to brokenness, so we can never truly operate in it. In today's episode, I talk about walking away from the brokenness in our lives, the places of shame, so that we can be difference makers in the Kingdom. Let's Go!

The Gift of Hope: Perfect Timing

We started our sermon series, The Gift of Hope with this message: The Gift of Hope: Perfect Timing. God gives us hope, and I believe it is one of the most needed things for the church today. We struggle with hope because we do it out of a place of hopelessness and want God to take us to Heaven where hope is, but God called us to be hope. We are supposed to be the game changers. Which Way Do I Go?

Have you ever felt stuck in a place simply because you didn't know what to do or where to go next? I am an overthinker, so this is a place I can find myself if left to my own devices. Have you ever been hasty to move simply because you did not want to end up where others were? What if this was simply because your North Pole was off? No, I am not talking about your Christmas spirit. I am talking about your reference point. Listen in as we talk about reestablishing your reference so you can move towards something and not be trapped in just moving away from things.

More Than A Feeling

Affection is a word that has become closely related to love. In many cases it is the thing that decides whether we feel loved or not. Some of you know what I am talking about. If our spouse isn't being very affectionate towards us then we wonder if we feel loved. If we were raised in a home where affection was void, then feeling it for the very first time can almost be like a drug. What if this lack presents a space where we would do or search anywhere for it? Suddenly our definition of love has become limited to a feeling that we are constantly chasing and finding in all the wrong places.
